In WebRTC, unfortunately, there is no required bandwidth magic number. There are different considerations, like UDP ports opened or closed, call mode chosen, if there is a firewall blocking communication so the video must go through the video server or not, and some more.

Because of that, we talk about “upload dedicated speed”. Which is the speed that the network is able to reach in the call’s current conditions.

Dedicated upload speed

- Audio only (minimum): 25kbps

- Video-audio (minimum): 150kbps

- Video-audio (recommended): 350kbps

- Video-audio (Full HD): 1500kbps
